People
Family and friends have been working and playing together for 30 years now;
and though the amount and color of our hair may have changed, we are still having fun.
Since Mike is the oldest in the company he carries the title of President. Mike helps in Sales and Marketing and is the chief cook, bottle washer and entertainer.
After graduating from Sonoma State University with a degree in Biology and Chemistry, Evelyn heeded the advice of friends and took a temporary harvest job at Chateau St Jean. 26 years later, she is still in this crazy business, focusing on Russian River wines at a tiny winery still owned and operated by the original "founding fathers."
Laurie has a Masters in classical acting with an emphasis in Shakespearean literature, and we feel that’s the perfect education for selling our classic Russian River Valley varietals. The fact that her family has been growing grapes in Sonoma County for the last 15 years doesn’t hurt either.
Jake is a perfect fit for Taft Street's web and social marketing. We are still trying to figure out what social media means to Taft Street, but Jake is excited to share the Taft Street experience online.
Mike runs the business of the business. Compliance, accounting and banking are in his hands. The Ex Mayor of Santa Rosa and past City Council Member, his talents transcend the mundane business world.
Heather Miller is Taft Street Winery’s new lab tech. Having been raised in a household with parents in the wine industry, Heather has also decided to pursue a career in winemaking. She is the second generation to begin her career in a Sonoma County winery lab.
Kaitlyn and Greg are prepared to help you experience Taft Street wines in our tasting room or take advantage of the many things our President’s Club has to offer to its members.
